After spending years working in dealership environments, Chris saw both the strengths and the shortcomings of traditional service centres. While the technical expertise was there, the personal connection often wasn’t.
So he set out to build something new — a workshop that blends dealership-level quality with a friendly, transparent, and customer-driven experience. A place where Subaru owners (and car lovers in general) could feel confident, respected and heard.
And that’s how Subi Otaku Garage was born.
“Otaku” is a Japanese word that describes someone deeply devoted to their passion — and that’s exactly what drives us.
Our passion for Subaru runs deep, and we channel that enthusiasm into everything we do — from precise log book servicing to thoughtful performance upgrades and diagnostics.

Chris has spent many years working within dealership networks, learning the ins and outs of automotive service, customer experience and workshop operations. But his true calling was always to create something more personal — a place that celebrates car culture, precision and people equally.
His deep understanding of the automotive world and genuine love for Subaru performance and engineering shape everything we do.
He’s built a team of highly skilled, like-minded technicians who share his values: honesty, attention to detail and a drive to always go the extra mile.
